Run, walk, shop and carry
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Haringey.
- Saturday, 4th of April 2020
Mrs V. was too sweet and accomplishing some shopping for her was going to be well.. a mission.
Mrs. V had a list of essentials including some necessities like toilet paper and self-raising flour which she preferred from Lidl.
So the mission began. A run to Lidl, wait in line with the list, shop for items and (lots of) substitutes.
One thing Lidl didn't have was flour. How could I leave Mrs. V without flour. Well, I had to go to a different shop, but eventually got the flour she wanted.
Just didn't realize that running with groceries isn't easy, and hence the walk and carry part.
All in all a successful mission and very happy Mrs. V who gave me just the look (utter disbelief) when I advised that she should treat all items from outside with suspicion, take precautions and wash her hands upon handling.
Bless her, and everyone one else in these times. She was very happy with the shopping and she didn't have to step outside to do it.

Well done Kapil
You are our Special K. I can believe how hard it is running with groceries.
