Roses are dead, Violets are pruned.
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Wandsworth.
- Sunday, 21st of May 2017
Alyx and Mark turned up the flower power and smashed through a series of horticultural tasks for Mr W who wanted to spend more time in his garden over the Summer months.
JOBS: 1. Tame the beast of a rose bush 2. Prune some of the overgrown plants 3. Remove the weeds 4. Collect all the garden waste
We ROSE to the occasion (via a ladder) and trimmed down some of the prickly customers.
Then Mr W's daughter very kindly brought us some delicious ice creams. Unfortunately we'd gobbled them down before we remembered to take a selfie.
We finished off with some "topiary" (Mark always fancied himself as a hair dresser) and Alyx got to work clearing the flower beds of weeds, leaves and even some pegs!
We had a BLOOMING good time.
Mission accomplished. Over and out.
