Ready, Bready...(tes)CO!
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in York.
- Friday, 3rd of April 2020
I felt quite giddy to be doing my first mission or perhaps it was the illicit second outing of the day, I had my documents at the ready (in case I got stopped), my (petit) pan-niers for all grocery eventualities , my (hand written) note for the payment instructions, a pen and paper for additional shopping notes. Heck I even got there early and so I gave Mrs J a call.
A grateful Mrs picked up and told me that all they wanted was a loaf of bread (not kneady at all!) AND that the dough was on the table, I guess that was the yeast of my worries.
So that nothing went a-rye Mrs J was totally prepared and had listed not one, not two... but four bread alternatives should the first not be available. Crumbs! So I decided to rise to the challenge and hopped on my bike and tootled along to Tesco’s. I arrived at an opportune moment and was in and out with no loafing around.
Once back, I left the bread and change for Mrs J in the agreed drop (scone) zone, had a nice little chat over the phone and then headed back home.
(I forgot to take any photos on my mission, so using my amazing artistic skillz I've rendered an accurate depiction events, because that's just how I roll).
