Whilst you were sleeping we had sooooooo much fun. We continued our weekend trend of working with our lovely friends at the Southbank.
This week we were hand delivering books that the Southbank had kindly donated to the Coin Street Children's centre for a regular reading session.
Now this may sound easy, simple even but as I'm sure you are aware where there's a Cory there will always be a sneaky little twist.
On arrival we were welcomed by the lovely Nanda who gave us a brief run down of the task at hand, the books were strategically positioned in piles and I explained to the lovely GoodGymers that we would head out, get nice and warm then head down to the centre half a mile away for a test run.
So that's exactly what we did, slow and steady mobilising all those joints and finally getting a sweat on.
The task was a simple one, get as many books down to Coin Street as you can in 30mins, jog nice and easy there then absolutely HAMMER it back. Use the jog back with the books as your recovery and then go again.
Speed work at its best, 800m after 800m, book after book until the clock stopped and all the books had gone.
It would appear that these tasks just get more and more exciting every week.
Hopefully if you missed out in 2015 you can come join us next year for yet more GOOD.
