Pruning not a prune in sight

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Lewisham.

We arrived just after 11am having called Mrs. F to remind her we were coming. She provided all of the tools and offered cups of tea and coffee before we had even started! We declined eager to get stuck into the task! We asked her how low she would like the tree cut and Samuel took charge of the higher branches, Mrs. F provided a step so he could reach the really high bits. I got stuck in with a pair of secateurs on the lower branches. After an hour of cutting we had completed our mission and filled her wheelie bin to the top with all of the cuttings ready for collection. We then took a moment to have a drink and a chat with Mrs. F about her garden. She was very pleased with the work we had done for her, another mission completed successfully 😊
