1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Lewisham.
- Sunday, 28th of January 2024
Ms B's tree had fallen over in the recent storms, but it was still sprouting and she was keen to save it. When I arrived we thought there was no way I could lift it and secure it on my own... but luckily I wasn't alone and Ms B was ready to graft!
I remembered that I had visited Ms B before, when she had a similar can-do attitude to fence painting. Together we pruned the tree and got it upright, propping it with a fence post. Ms B gave me a knot tying lesson and then we worked on securing it.
Luckily more help then arrived in the form of Ms B's granddaughter. Together we finished the job with a bit of chat and laughter along the way. Ms B was very pleased that we got what looked like an impossible job done.
