14 GoodGymmers ran to Stepney City Farm for a bit of compost turning and hole digging

Run report written by Bryon Chan

Brexit and another possible Euro exit did not sidetrack 14 heroic GoodGymmers on a muggy midsummer's Monday night. Picking up where we left off at Stepney City Farm, most of the gang continued their mission of saving the world one compost heap at a time, while Simon and I were recruited for a 'Special Project'. The 'Special Project' was to dig holes for the supports of a new dipping platform which would allow kids to examine pond life in the water below. It involved using a groundbreaking bar (no not a new East London popup) and a post-hole digger (I had to google these). It was difficult and we had to dig deep... but we did it in the end.

Though there were no cute baby animals this time, we were in good spirits and went on a short jog on the canal then made our way home.

Massive respect for the inimitable Becky Greenwood for leading her first full group run while nursing an injured ankle, of course with a massive smile the whole time!
