Passing the muck
6 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Hackney.
- Wednesday, 16th of June 2021
- Led by Joel Wiles
A small but merry band of runners met Ken our Task owner in the courtyard of Hackney City Farm for my most glamorous community mission yet - shovelling a mountain of pig muck into wheelbarrows and distributing it in the trench along the perimeter fence (in preparation for planting saplings at a later date). We worked diligently to get most of the trench filled before we downed tools and were given a quick tour of the Farm and the 300 saplings which will be planted. Some of us then headed off to the Farm's restaurant for some food and drink before going home just as the deluge started! Emma summed up the night by describing it as "sh*t with giggles".
