Painting the town Red....erm actually the 'Reds' were painting the town Yellow!
10 GoodGymers made their way 8.0km to help their local community in Hammersmith and Fulham.
- Tuesday, 10th of January 2017
This week 10 of us did the longer than usual 4km run down to Fulham to Ray's Playhouse. There we met up again with the lovely Diane and painted the entrance hall, and 3 toilets a lovely shade of sunny yellow. A few 'old hands' helped to teach the painting newbies some 'best practice painting tips' and we quickly spruced up an area that is well appreciated (and hence a little scuffed!) by some very playful kids! We also learned the 'Aska rollering jump' technique for those hard to reach high patches!
A 4kms run back in the 'cooling drizzle'... and we were soon back at base having done a great task and an impressive 8kms of running. A big shout out to our first time runners: Catherine, Fanxu and Ellie, and to our regulars who have avoided the horrid lurgy going around that kept a number of people at home this evening - get well soon!!
Hope to see you all next week! Anna
