Oh, you're such a Teasal!
5 GoodGymers made their way to help the Northern Slopes Initiative in Bristol.

Okay I might have been a little too optimistic naming the mission "Summer time at the northern slopes"... The first half of the mission was pretty okay but the rain came and in great volume!
But that didn't stop the 5 of us from helping Julia and the Northern Slopes Initiative anyway! Change of scenery this month as we were working down the bottom of the steps in the path known as The Scar.
We had a very lovely and enthusiastic first timer Alex with us, who was more than eager to get into scything the entrance with me. While we were shredding and slicing away, Sarah, Jason, and Dave went exploring down the path to lop away over hanging branches and bushes.
We had an extra challenge as Julia wanted us to leave the teasal plants alone. The NSI use this plant as their logo, and if anyone has ever been on a group run with Mel, you'd know how important branding can be...
All in all we did a great job opening up the path and tidying the place up. Nice work everyone. We'll be back in a few months (maybe sooner? watch this space!)
