Odd jobs
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Windsor and Maidenhead.

An interesting mission to help Mr. J with some household tasks. Mr J, who lives alone is very organised and capable; it's unfortunate he can't do certain things because he is partially sighted.
He welcomed us into his home and to his dining room where he had our tasks set up - a couple of cushions which needed tying ribbons to be sewn in, a jumper and two trousers which needed mending. While Kanika got started on sewing (with no prior experience, I must add!), Diya took the brief on putting together a Word document on his laptop as a handout β a two page document which must contain a description of the mosaic and the designer's details.
Kanika had a good idea to add a photo of the mosaic to the word document and then there was the matter of taking a photo from his iPad and transferring it to the laptop. Again, very impressed with how Mr. J manages all this without being able to see clearly.
Once done, Diya went to the shed and made two large weed-killing portions for the front and back garden. It started to drizzle so I helped take his washing inside as well. In the meantime, Kanika had finished all the sewing work and a darn good job, it was!
An hour and half had gone by as we said goodbye to Mr. J and went back to our day jobs :)
