No place like Gnome
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Wandsworth.
- Saturday, 14th of October 2017
Two Wandsworth GoodGym-ers set out on a warm October morning into the residential 'burbs of Balham on a mission to help Ms A restore her garden to its former glory.
On arrival, it was clear that she was a keen gardener as we were supplied with tools aplenty. Once an appropriate playlist consisting of "wholesome" American country (Sarah's choice) and Tom Petty was compiled, we set to work weeding and scraping the plants out from the paving of the garden path. We swept, raked and tidied, creating what is now hopefully a much more comfortable home for Ms A's garden gnomes and her two stone heads placed (intimately?) together, not to mention a more pleasant space for Ms A herself!
Overall then, a successful mission and a big difference made to the state of the garden!
