Mushroom Mayhem
6 GoodGymers made their way to help the Oxford Mutual Aid in Oxford.
- Wednesday, 23rd of June 2021

A regular Wednesday afternoon packing food parcels at the Oxford Mutual Aid food bank. Nationwide shortages meant it was extremely slim pickings for fruit and veg this week. The warm weather is much needed but means that the fresh food doesn't last long at all. It was sad to need to throw away bagfuls of mushrooms knowing that they're in such short supply.
We packed the final parcels for the Wednesday deliveries, prepped the Emergency Parcels, started on Thursday's list and did hall maintenance tasks (taking out food waste & cardboard, reconfiguring fridges etc).
Great work team!
