Mission impossible...until we worked out how to dismantle the chair!
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in York.
- Friday, 1st of March 2019
Here's what Ms R of YO24 had to say about the mission:
Mrs R called in to say how 'marvellous' the runners were this morning and how 'thrilled' she was to have had their help, excellent work guys!
Tom and Vicky met bright and early to help Mr and Mrs R move some furniture around.
We were met with a very warm welcome by a lovely couple. First job was to move a very heavy chair downstairs. Apparently it came apart into two pieces. After much umming no arring Tom finally worked out how, which then made the move much easier.
We then transferred a bed from one upstairs room to another - relatively easy and light after the chair!
The couple were so thankful for our help and I got a lovely hug to send us in our way. Only 20 minutes later we were off.
What a lovely start to a Friday . Such a short amount of time which really helped this couple out.

So glad you were both able to help Mr and Mrs R, they seemed so lovely! Nice work on your first mission as well, Tom!
