Minds (and hands) in the gutter
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in York.
- Friday, 15th of November 2019
Team Gover jogged over on a thankfully dry morning to help Mrs A with her leaf-clogged gutters. We first inspected the problem from above (out a window) - apparently since the request some of the leaves had been blown out in the bad weather, but there were still a lot in there!
It quickly became apparent we'd done well to bring a Tall Person, so I footed the ladder while Rich cleared the leaves and trimmed back the overly keen Virginia creeper. We swapped over for the lower gutters and soon had a good bucketful of squidge, including one very settled flower complete with homemade soil and a resident worm. A quick swish with the hosepipe got the gutters running again nicely!
We then rewarded ourselves with a nice cup of tea and a lovely chat with Mrs A.

Amazing, well done team, looks like a nice rewarding cat-cuddle at the end.
Nice work "Team Gover"! Glad it stayed dry!
