Memories of Evacuation
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Windsor and Maidenhead.
- Friday, 26th of May 2023
This was a first visit to Mrs K and her husband who are both in their 90's. They don't get out much these days as her husband needs carers 4 times a day and suffers frm memory loss. We had a lovely chat about each others families, the garden and about their experences of been evacuees during WWII. Apparently Mr A's host used to keep the matches to light the oil lamps in her knickers! The things you learn on a social visit!
