Marians Merry Marauders
4 GoodGymers made their way 7.0km to help their local community in Redbridge.

On a wet & dreary Monday evening 4 Goodgymmers assembled to do their bit around Wanstead. With trainer James far away on a running adventure, it was down to me to look after this merry bunch, which is always a pleasure!
Nothwithstanding the title, there wasn't any real marauding done, but it suited the alliteration! Instead a democratic vote steered the group away from even more wetness towards something a little drier - cleaning up Marians planting areas around the tube station. As usual a variety of objects was removed from the bushes, from the chocolate bar wrappers to beer cans and a couple of pint glasses. Two vases made their way to Marians shelter, they will likely find a purpose in the future. A neatly tucked away blanket & umbrella was left as found, it seems like someone might need that...
Task done, it was time for an exploring run through the back streets of Wanstead & South Woodford before picking up a more familiar route to get back to base. On the way topics varied from a possible Superbowl nipplegate #2 to work to running plans, helping to make the almost 7km go past smoothly. A few stretches later it was time to pack up, job well done.
P.S.... any tips on designing/building bug hotels / bee shelters / wood towers for stag beetle larvae / bird nests etc? all advice welcome - email me at peter@goodgym.org
P.P.S... those feeling like a community mission a bit out of the usual areas - something this Saturday on the edge of Essex, see here
