MALMa mia, IKEA believe how much flat pack we just built!
4 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in York.
- Saturday, 16th of February 2019
4 GG Yorkies, armed with screwdrivers, ran to help Mrs M assemble a flatpack load of furniture.
Our day started with a sunny (yep, actual sunglass wearing, legs out sunshine) Heslington parkrun where we, plus Mitch, all smashed our 2019 PBs - GO TEAM! To celebrate we head straight to Greggs for breakfast, that's how we sausage roll.
Full of sausage and fuelled by coffee we ran (slowly) to our task. It was at this point that we received a message from Ed saying he'd just read the mission description.
I've just read the email and seen how much flatpacking there is!!! - Ed
When we arrived we were greeted by the lovely Mrs M who is new to York and was thrilled to find out that Goodgym were here to help. We quickly took stock of the bedroom full of IKEA boxes before tearing into them like kids on Christmas morning.
Leanne, as always, had a plan and assigned us each a box, along with strict instruction to stick to the instructions. We got to work screwing and hammering, and box by box the furniture started taking shape.
How much flat pack could a flat pack pack, if a flat pack could pack flat? - Craig
We stood back and admired our handy work. We had assembled so much flat pack we began to look like the guys from the manuals. Total number of furniture assembled: 1 bed + 1 wardrobe + 1 chest of drawers + 4 bedside tables
Mission accomplished.
