Making Hay and Bindweed Weeding!
1 GoodGymer made their way to help the Portsmouth Residents and Visitors in Portsmouth.
- Wednesday, 3rd of July 2024
- Led by Judy Knapp
Today we were raking up the hay made by a recent grass cut around the new hub. The sun had dried it and it smelt lovely. After filling 5 big bags, we moved to the park entrance near the cafe to clear the Bindweed that had spread and wrapped itself around the planting and railings there. We managed to fill a further 2 bags leaving the area completely clear of Bindweed and opening up a clear view across to the Church. We managed to achieve more than planned for today, and went to enjoy refreshments in the Hub before going on our way.
