Make no mistake, you're having cake
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Luton.

Lizzy and Martin went to visit Mrs C for the second time this week. On arrival it was very dark in the flat but once Mrs C heard the door she called out to put the light on and we went up the stairs to say hi. Mrs C was very chirpy on this occaison as we arrived. I think this may have been as she'd had an afternoon snooze before we turned up. Before we had our coats off our host had told us we had to have a cuppa and a piece of cake whilst we were there. We soon got chatting about all sorts, including the programne that was on the telly in the background. Father Brown, the vicar who's a super sleuth and look beyond the obvious to solve crimes in a small town. Lizzy offered to make a cup of tea and whilst the kettle was boiling I shared a photo of a friends plant that looked similar to one of the pot plants in the living room. When the tea arrived we also had a slice of lemon cake, which was delicious and Mrs C told us how she might go to Woburn with her daughter who was visiting over the weekend. We finished our drinks and agreed to visit again. This was a lovely visit and we look to seeing Mrs C again soon
