Love is in the air
3 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Westminster.
- Wednesday, 14th of February 2018
Emma, Gosia and Helen met with the eager Occupational Therapists Mark and Ade on Wednesday after lunch, fuelled and raring to go - some having travelled from the other side of the river, others - the other side of the road!
First we had some quick introductions about their job as occupational therapists and we told them all about GoodGym - they’d only found out about us yesterday!
We headed to Mrs E’s flat. She’s been in hospital just short of a month and this was the final stage before she could come home, hopefully today!
Briefed by Mark we got to it...
Step 1: move the bed to make room for her chair. Step 2: move her chair into her bedroom (definitely a challenge - pivot left, pivot right, lift up, twist round). Team work breeds success!! Step 3: get a tv in her room (we tested, moved some furniture to find a plug and set it up with some DVDs all ready).
Job done. Success. We bid farewell and went off in our different directions.
