Looking for the sun
24 GoodGymers made their way on a training session in York.
- Monday, 21st of December 2020

A number of GG Yorkies got up early today and ran to a good vantage point to admire today's spectacular sunrise.
Some of us ran in small groups to places like Bachelor Hill, or Kimberlow Hill, where we were met by others who made their way there.
Other locations visited by runners this morning included Roundhay in Leeds, by the river in Reading, the Knavesmire, by the Scarborough Bridge, or near Theatre Royal.
Bachelor Hill location saw 9 of us at the top performing various exercises i.e. run in pairs around the site, boxing punches, or squats in order to keep warm while waiting for the sun to rise. The attached photographs say it all about the sunrise that we saw... Past 8:20am we all ran, or walked in different directions to get on with the shortest day of 2020.
The sunset didn't look much better than the sunrise, with all the clouds and drizzle, however that did not put off some of us who went out for an afternoon run to celebrate the fact that days will be longer from now.
