2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Hackney.
- Saturday, 1st of February 2020
It was bright and breezy in the capital of BrExit 🇬🇧 Britain today for our Mission.
Kat and I were to help our host with their garage. They'd been using it for storage, but burglars had recently tossed everything asunder, so they wanted some help getting it the more manageable again.
It was quite a job as the whole place was now waist high with a disarray of stuff.
Firstly we took a lot of it out onto the road (thank goodness no rain today 😅) and set about organising it into the boxes and bags our host was able to provide.
Not able to stand for long, we found them a folding chair amongst the stuff, so they could sit with us and understand what was going on.
After some space had been made inside and the floor swept, we were able to put it all back again such that it was no longer under the leak in the roof, and could be accessed when our host found time to go back.
Some stuff went to rubbish as well, including the same A3 printer I bought myself 15 years ago as a student. 👩🎓
Whilst in the area, we also got to do some tourism of the other kind of garage. The cover photo for Original Pirate Material was taken just nearby.
