4 Yorkies assembled on a sunny Friday afternoon to clear up the (would be) lovely Viking Park and play area, which was slowly drowning under a sea of litter. Armed with litter pickers, bags and gloves, we set off in 1s and 2s to play hunt the rubbish - an easy game here, but beware - it's addictive!
After a 45 minute blitz a beautiful park appeared and everywhere looked far more appealing and ready for some (tidy) kids and adults to enjoy.
We then proceeded to test out some of the adventure playground, just to be sure it was good, and I did some token arm exercises since my legs are currently unable to have fun. After a quick photoshoot on the twisty ladder we set off on our various weekend activities, spotting a few more bits on the way to the bins (told you it was addictive) - 5 huge sacks stuffed to the brim, and a much cleaner park behind us. Let's hope it stays that way!
