Lucy and Sam met the volunteers of SOLLA just inside the gates at Kennington Park by the community cricket (now football training) grounds. They were both early and standing in the rain talking about their festive break whilst they waited for the organisers to show up.
Harriet and Nick from SOLLA came with plenty of litter picks and bin liners. If you come for the first time, you get a starter set which you get to keep.
Once everyone got a litter pick and bin liner, they sent us on our way to find and pick litter around the estate next to the park.
The two GoodGymers paired up, but all the rest went solo.
There was plenty of litter to pick up, we managed to get a bag full in an hour. Since we all had one bin liner once that was filled, we decided to call it a day.
