Lift, Shift, Repeat
7 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Westminster.
- Saturday, 7th of May 2016
On a warm and sunny Saturday, six GoodGymmers met in Charing Cross Road to help You Me Bum Bum Bum train with the dismantling of their sets, with the aim of donating the build materials to refugee shelters in Calais.
After being provided with personal protective equipment, our main job for the afternoon was lifting and shifting chunks of wood of various sizes. We started in the basement with some large rectangular boards, moved further up to shift piles of long planks, and then tried, with varying degrees of success, to move some very heavy boards down three flights of stairs.
After an excellent two hour upper body workout, we headed off to enjoy the sun.
