he, him, me duck
A few weeks ago several of us from the Quaggy Waterways Action Group (QWAG) spent an evening removing litter and Himalayan Balsam from the banks of the river in Lewisham. The Himalayan Balsam is an invasive plant that wrecks the banks of the river. There was a section of the river that we didn’t clear close to where I live, so today, clad in waders I removed the Balsam from one of my local parks to where we’d finished - about 10 clumps were removed. I also found a grey wagtail sitting on the hilt of plastic sword, which I think by the ancient laws of Lewisham makes me King.
