Keeping the January blues at bay
6 GoodGymers made their way on a training session in Redbridge.

Life's still pretty strange and January can be a bit depressing at the best of times, so we decided to kick off the New Year with some reflection on the positives. The task was to go for a run and take a selfie showing something we're grateful for.
Linda kicked us off with some praise for her wonderful husband Ed, who brings her tea and soup after runs and is generally a great supporter of the GG Redbridge gang. Nature was high on our list, with Julia S emphasising the benefits of running outside for wellbeing. Kristian was also grateful to have nature close by, especially birds, and Julia B appreciated the beautiful view over Wanstead flats near her home.
Sarah Jane was grateful for a run giving her some 'me time' in the middle of a hectic day, and Sharon appreciated her hat, the sunny side of the street and some quick thinking which allowed her to get back in time for her meeting.
Slightly off topic but Jenny was feeling big love for her bike, which has been an amazing companion in Covid times and given her the opportunity to develop a new hobby when other options are pretty restricted.
Well done everyone, was lovely to read your stories and see your pictures, it really lifted the January gloom 😀

Such a lovely report and it was so nice to focus on gratitude during my run last week! Thanks for setting this up Jenny!
