The Govers had set the bar high after their two hour stint helping out on the Diabetes UK stand at Tesco.
Every two minutes, someone in the UK is diagnosed with diabetes, so there were a load of 2-minute challenges to complete as part of an awareness-raising exercise.
Our job was the demonstrate the 2-minute challenges, encourage people to participate and be in charge of timing and scoring.
The Govers had chosen two physical challenges as well as the distance cycling challenge which was already set up:
- star jumps
- press-ups
Quite difficult to convince people who were coming to do their shopping to bosh out some press-ups but a few people did take on the bike, and there was a lot of interest in the cup challenge too (build the highest cup construction you can in two minutes!)
We finished with a strong presence on the leaderboard and challenge everybody to go down tomorrow and get involved!
