On a surprisingly sunny and not too windy October morning (a great parkrun morning!), 11 runners met up for Southsea Beachwatch's monthly beach clean. We found Aimee & Toni with her adorable shy pup Zak and Angela brought Clare, who actually knew a few other GoodGymers - possibly a new recruit?
Judy, our recycling queen brought some helpful mini bags to reuse as litter bags. However we were very pleased to not find too much litter! Other then some odd glue caps and a pen cap, are most interesting finds came from Jo; a fully intact clam shell, and a baby cat shark!
Upon returning our collected rubbish and pickers, we were educated on the cat sharks, their interesting teeth like fur the egg cases they come from. Check out the Shark Trust's website to find out about their Eggcase identifying app!
We wrapped up our morning at the Coffee Cup for a well deserved cuppa in the sunshine, where Tony showed off his animal whisperer skills by attracting multiple little birds!
