Ivy: The root of all evil (aka Mikey and Aimee's Spider Eviction Service)
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Cardiff.
- Saturday, 24th of November 2018
Mrs B's garden was being invaded by her neighbour's ivy. It was growing through and affecting the integrity of her fence. Aimee and Mikey set to work trimming back the ivy. Even Mikey who has been known to describe weeds as "misunderstood plants" had to admit that the ivy had to go. Many spiders had set up homes in the ivy, but they moved along to hopefully a better home as the vines were cleared. Mikey developed a really interesting one-handed technique with the lopper. After a couple hours, the ivy had been trimmed and the plants at the back of the garden had been cut back as well. Mrs B was grateful that the fence was free of ivy and everyone said their goodbyes before running home.
