It was weedy, weedy hot.
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in York.

Here's what Mrs A of YO26 had to say about the mission:
The garden looks fantastic, the girls were a very big help. It was amazing how many weeds they got rid of in the time. They were so kind, nice and really helpful. I'm very happy with everything they have done and would love to have GoodGym help again.
2 GG Yorkies braved the heat and sun to help Mrs A tidy up her garden. Emily actually came all the way from Durham for her first ever older person mission! Hurray!
We quickly set about sprucing up Mrs As front garden which took priority over the back garden, as she wanted the front to look nice for others. This involved weeding, watering and pruning back the roses. Thankfully, Mrs A was on hand to clear up which plants were weeds and which weren’t - she was very amused when Ellie checked which plant was the rose!
After a quick trip around the garden with Mrs A, who is very knowledgable about her plants, Ellie and Emily took a small cutting of a plant Mrs A promised would be really really easy to grow (they were given instructions to put it in a jam jar of water ‘til it roots, then plant in compost). Only time will tell if Emily or Ellie can keep plants alive as well as they can rip them out the ground!
