It's wheely bin mulch windier today
4 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Bristol.
- Sunday, 13th of January 2019
It was a blustery morning mission for Ady, Danica, Mel and Russell who headed to South Bristol for a spot of garden tidying and pruning for Mrs B.
Mrs B showed us some photos of the garden in its former glory which gave us our aim for the mission, and told us about her Christmas and having Prosecco for breakfast 'because it cleans your teeth'!
Her musical keyboard also provided the opportunity for a few puns...
After this, we got started, divvying up the multitude of garden tools Mrs B owned, and deciding who would sweep, de-moss and prune. The real ache-y scrape-y part was getting the moss out of the paving, which Russell and Danica did a fabulous job with. Mel and I had fun and games trying to get the leaves to stay in the green bin with most of them blowin' in the wind.
It wasn't long before we were being whistled in for a tea break and a chat, and then we started the final countdown to leaving Mrs B with her much tidier garden by sweeping and resweeping, and wheeling the very full bin to the gate.
