It was the day of the Commondale fell race, the 7th event in the Esk Valley winter fell league.
This race was organised by York Acorn, a local running club, who'd asked if we could provide volunteers to help with the smooth running of the event.
Mitch, David, myself and Laura arrived early to get the registration area ready and start registering runners, and then Katie and Louise stepped in to help as some of us got ready for racing.
Nikki, Rich, Bec, Andy, Tim, Ed and Debs headed out onto their marshalling points on the course and did an excellent job of ensuring we all took the correct paths.
At the finish, Laura was counting in the runners and writing down their numbers whilst Katie and Louise were on timekeeping (and cheering) duty.
Wooooooooooooooooo - Louise
With all the runners safety in, we then helped with teas, coffees and Debs took charge of the washing up in the village hall.

So much washing up that I missed the team photo. And I don't even drink tea and coffee!
