I love raising caterpillars as pets. It always gives me butterflies.
2 GoodGymers made their way to help the NCC Community and Environmental Services in Norwich.
- Monday, 4th of October 2021
- Led by Rebecca
Rebecca and Bobby joined members from the Norfolk County Council Environment team for a morning of creating/maintaining butterfly habitat on a section of the Weavers Way, near North Walsham. Emrys the hound also joined them and only embarrassed himself a few times by mistaking a rake for a stick...
The task mainly involved raking and piling up the cuttings, to maintain the grassland and leave space for wild flowers, with a bit of hacking of the brambles which were encroaching onto the heather patches.
The day was brilliantly organised, we got tea, biscuits and pancakes, and were very very lucky with the weather!
