Welcome to Jane who is our star social media promoter and joined us for her first taste of a GoodGym beach clean.
The tide was high so we had a small amount of beach to start, with all the usual suspects on the litter front (cigarette butts, bottle caps, cotton buds and plastic lids). Judy found a very long piece of fishing line that just kept coming out of the stones like a magician's hankie.
A couple of very drunk youngsters kept us entertained / anxious when they went in for a swim. Fortunately they made it back to dry land again but they did give us a bit of a clue as to why we often find items of clothing on the beach...
We met a man from Bromley who'd come down for the day with a metal detector, he'd found a little pile of lids and ring pulls that he donated to our bag. His best find so far was 5p!
We managed to fill a medium size bag with lots of little bits so, as ever, a good deed done and less rubbish on the beach.
