High Five 🖐🏼
1 GoodGymer made their way to help their local community in Norwich.
- Sunday, 18th of August 2019
- Led by Norwich runner
Back to Eaton Park for Junior parkrun, with a good turn out of enthusiastic children across a wide range of ages. I was on marshalling duty, so collected my equipment from the bandstand - an orange cone and a big green foam hand for all the high fives. Then I made my way to my post, ready to keep an eye out for any issues and to encourage all the runners. It's great to see how much the children are enjoying themselves, and to see what a difference a high five can make to a flagging runner. It's a lovely way to start Sunday!
One of the event directors was saying they are finding it hard to get enough volunteers for Lakenham junior parkrun 'Lea Bridges' and wondered if GoodGym could help. If anyone is interested Hayley can list it as a mission, be sure to email them first though to let them know you arr coming!
