Here we go round the icy puddle on a cold and frosty morning!
23 GoodGymers made their way to help the Knavesmire Junior parkrun in York.

Goodgym York's takeover of Knavesmire Junior parkrun provided 23 cold but keen volunteers to support 102 junior park runners round a frosty course. The additional marshalls were much needed to steer enthusiastic cone dodgers away from the icy puddles and ensure the parkrun ran smoothly. Craig got all the runners going with a lively warm up, filling in for Egg who had no voice. Christine provided pre-parkrun hoola hooping entertainment. Lucy did a great welcome sign in chalk at the start. Paul was determined to discover the number of the missing finishing token that he had noticed on a previous week. (52 proved elusive until Michael found it later stuck to another token.) Egg did a great job of trying to keep the more lively finishers in order in the funnel. Katie's cone marshalling was only hampered by a passing dog using her cone as a urinal. Lizzie encouraged the last runner in, in great time as tail walker. A very successful parkrun despite the freezing temperature.
