Hedging an escape
4 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Bristol.
- Sunday, 28th of October 2018
On a sunny National Chocolate Day, the 4 goodgymers arrived at Mr R's house to unfortunately be told that they wouldn't be able to do the task as there aren't any tools. Oh no! The end?..
Nope they managed to borrow tools from a nearby neighbour who they already knew... phew!
With that, they hacked away at the hedges giving it a lovely trim. Dave climbed up the huge ladder and looked like he was going to disappear into the hedge and chopped a lot from the top. Once Dave started, there was no stopping him and he decided it might be his new vocation! A great job he did. The rest of them took it in turns to hold the ladder, trim, chop, rake and sweep. Mr R's grand daughter very kindly offered lots of drinks every little interval. Over 2 hours later they managed to drag Dave away from the hedge life. The garden looked so much tidier, great job.. the end..?
Nope, they went and returned the tools and posted the key through the door, for Sarah to say, "Um I think we needed the key to get out of the gate.." Oh no! They had managed to lock themselves into the garden! In the end they had to climb over the metal fence to escape, and they all survived the fall. Phew! The End?..
