He ain’t heavy, he’s my milk bottle!
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in York.

Maddy was tasked with buying some groceries for Ms A so walked to the task, enjoying the lovely sunshine! Mrs A and her partner were really nice and had their list ready as well as some recycled supermarket bags! (avoiding having to ask if she minded me buying some, rather than using some of my old ones!) Having planned on visiting one Aldi, it mentioned another one on her list which was a nicer route, so change of plan! After a queue outside Aldi, I went in and discovered that not only had Ms A put everything in the order in which I would walk around the supermarket, but had also detailed what she wanted, which was super-helpful! After a brief phone consultation over choice of fish (I needed an alternative as Aldi had run out) I paid and packed my bags. With 4 pints of milk in my backpack and 2 full shopping bags I set off walking back. Mrs A had expressed concern that I was on foot with such a heavy load but I reassured her that weight lifting is part of goodgym! I returned to her place and she was very grateful and commented that we are doing “sterling work”! Mission successfully accomplished!
