It was wet but still we had loads of runners, keen to help distribute loads of flyers. The only problem was that we had no flyers - they were due to be printed 2 weeks ago but somehow that hadn't happened.
Luckily Chris came to the rescue with another task! We ran almost 3 miles up Gloucester Road, a long and upward climbing road, to Horfield Common. There we were handed hammers, crowbars and a special tool specifically designed to desconstruct pallets. There was a massive pile of pallets, and for a very energetic 20 minutes, we got stuck in to destroying as many as we could, whilst keeping the wood in once piece.
The weather gods looked down on us as moments after we started our run the rain stopped, and it wasn't that cold either. Plus, even though it was uphill most of the way, we had the joy of downhill on the way back.
This was one of our longest Tuesday night runs, plus one of the wetter ones, and we stayed a little longer than normal, so we got tonnes of wood prepared to make a shipping container in to a cafe. Fantastic work team!!!
