Ghosts and Ghouls and Garden Tools
2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Wandsworth.
- Sunday, 29th of October 2017
Mrs B was a great. She had tonnes of tools for Rosie and I to pick from and then got stuck in helping too.
Living alone she has found it hard to keep on top of her large garden, finding it overwhelming and she didn't trust gardners in the phone book to come into her home to help.
Still looking a bit ghostly and feeling slightly ghoulish after some Halloween celebrations all credit went to Rosie who weeded, raked, dug and dragged bags of bark around the garden in double time. Together we cleared and resurfaced a fair chunk of the garden although Mrs B's own garden waste bag was twice as full of ours by the end of the mission!
It was really nice to chat with Mrs B as well as do the mission task. There is a little more to do and she would appreciate more help if it is available.
