Once again FoodCycle we’re without a volunteer to do the food collection again today, so I had been asked to step in before my main volunteering. I arrived at Sainsburys to be greeted by an apologetic Habeeb, who told me he didn’t think they had much food for us today. He came back from the store room with just a few items. While I was packing them into my box he went off in search of anything else and came back with so much produce I pretty much filled my trolly. Then it was on to Aldi where I was presented with another trolly loaded with an assortment of groceries . I was so pleased to be able to deliver such a generous haul to the FoodCycle project leader, who was thrilled to see so much food.
