Getting our groove on for batman
2 GoodGymers made their way to help the York Greenways in York.
- Friday, 22nd of December 2017
Batman needed some new homes for his bat friends, so Leanne and I heeded the call and arrived ready to make some new boxes! On arrival we were asked the level of our woodworking skills, to which we answered "probably won't chop any limbs off, but fairly limited!". Luckily, Peter was very patient and took us through exactly how to make the boxes (which turn out not to look like boxes at all), teaching us some top tips for sawing along the way!
Soon enough we were getting into the groove of it (as were our saws) and boxes 2 and 3 shot up in no time with some super efficient drilling teamwork.
Three new boxes and some new skills and knowledge later, we headed home to get ready for Christmas, looking forward to visiting our bats in their new homes soon.
