Off to an early start, Sally got stuck in to the task straight away, setting up the tables and all that goes with it. I think she may have done this once or twice before.
Meanwhile, Matthew, recovering from an op this week, made short work of a few indoor tasks. He quickly secured a games box, moved some food trays around and helped Carol to find items to pack into food bags.
Having previously helped to prepare the vegetables for today's meal, Linda moved on to helping Carol. They made short work of packing a load of donated groceries into individual bags. These will be given to those most in need of extra food, often the very ones who won't ask for help.
Pauline, meanwhile, made inroads at the back of the centre, where a tiny yard housed a few small, overgrown flower beds, and lots of weeds, rubble and broken glass. With a helping hand (or two) from Mat, the area was soon spick and span, ready for the next phase in its development.
Off to our new favourite eatery for a quick brew before our next CM.
