Fresh fruit and bread for Ms P
1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in York.
- Tuesday, 28th of April 2020
My second mission of the day. It started to get a bit dark and drizzly when I was running to Ms P's, zig-zagging across Hob Moor on my way.
I gave Ms P a ring when I was outside as I got a little confused by the fact there were three houses with the same number in her street - we had a quick chat and she let me know that that has been causing issues for 16 years! Unfortunately, her freezer broke the other day so she was wary of getting too much from the shop in case it went to waste. We went through her list and I set off to the local Co-op. She wanted a few loose potatoes and pears but there were only bags of them so I gave her a ring to see what she wanted me to do - she told me to just leave them as she wouldn't get through them and she'll be able to stock up with more meals when she gets her new freezer on Thursday. She was happy that I was able to get some fresh fruit and bread for her (as well as her magazines).
