Week 2 of Salvation Army luncheon club re opening saw a lovely menu of Vegetable Soup, followed by Corn Beef Hash, sauté potatoes, baked beans, hot beetroot. Rice Pudding followed, ending with Tea or Coffee. We still adhere to new COVID-19 measures for food establishments which means everything must be individually wrapped eg salt, pepper, sugar, biscuits, using recycling paper cups etc which does run at an extra cost, although those attending pay a small charge for their meal , as a Charity we are still trying to fund raise to provide all the facilities the Salvation Army provide. For some, we are the only people they see. Food parcels are still being delivered to those who are still a little nervous or unable to get out.
