7 plucky runners covered 9km, no sweat!
With the dark evenings upon us, this week we tasked ourselves with delivering as many flyers as we possibly could in the 90 minutes. We wanted to promo the work of GoodGym, not only the group run but also the befriending coach runs which will soon be happening in Bournemouth.
We covered a whopping 9km in total and almost got through all the paperwork. It was a game of boys v girls, racing from door to door. Hazards included very stiff letter boxes, barking dogs and Fort Knox-like gates into wonderfully humongous properties.
Highlights of the run included the discovery of a pedestrian bridge over the Wessex Way - cue photo opp. And who could forget Mr Not-At-All-Shy, standing at his window in just his birthday suit!!!
By the end of the run I think we all felt we'd discovered new parts of our own town...shout out to Daryl who discovered he can run a really long way!!!
Next week we have guest leader Simon - have a good one!!!
