Flower Power
4 GoodGymers made their way to help the Oxford Mutual Aid in Oxford.
- Saturday, 13th of March 2021
- Led by Anwen Greenaway
Today the Oxford Mutual Aid food bank was inundated with flowers and baked goods (flour power, geddit?!). Perfect for Mothers' Day parcels tomorrow - who wouldn't be delighted by roses and croissants on Mothers' Day?
Our 4-woman crew helped load the delivery van, restocked the shelves, swept the floors, emptied the bins, cleared out Cardboard Corner, and checked through the fresh produce to get rid of any mouldy items. For the first week in a while there were no calls for Emergency food support during our shift, so we were out into the sunshine bang on time leaving the hall far tidier than we found it.
