Feeling Blue
2 GoodGymers made their way to help their local community in Trafford.
- Saturday, 26th of February 2022
- Led by Kate Frain
Gwyn and Tracey volunteered at Penrhyn parkrun with the azure sea in the background; the atmosphere was electric.
It was Gwyn's debut as run director, true to form, with nerves of steel, he looked almost royal in his blue waistcoat, carrying a leek to celebrate it being (nearly) St David's Day.
Tracey cobalt together two roles; putting out signs and scanning barcodes.
We followed up the volunteering session by putting a new Freedom parkrun on our slate, free as a pair of blue jays once the results had gone out. At least we got that sorted before midnight!
Thanks to Kate for setting up this community mission. She's a gem (probably a sapphire).
